The Great Big Walk 2026

Take part in a scenic Half Marathon walk in the beautiful Hertfordshire countryside, with all the sponsorship you collect eligible to be DOUBLED! Starting and finishing in Hertwood Forest, this scenic Half Marathon walk will take you through Heartwood Forest, Wheathampsted, Brocket Hall and the outskirts of Harpenden through Nomansland. We will be guided by an Alban Way expert to share areas of interest along the way. We will stop for lunch half way, at St Helen’s Church, Wheathampsted, who will be providing us with somewhere to sit and a warm cuppa. Thanks to our partnership with Helping Herts, all the money you collect in sponsorship is eligible to be doubled!
