Sekundarschule Eitorf - Schulmarathon in Bonn am 19. April 2026 2027

The school participated in the Bonn Marathon with two student teams and, for the first time, a teacher team. Twelve students from grades 5 to 10, four female teachers, and the school social worker covered the total distance of 42.195 km in stages ranging from 5.4 km to 8.8 km. The atmosphere along the course was particularly enjoyable this year, with many people cheering on the athletes from start to finish, including various music groups, "Laola" waves, and loud cheers. The students deserved this recognition after spending their entire Sunday at the marathon in Bonn, demonstrating great commitment. The competition from the teacher team challenged the ambitious students to perform at their best, resulting in all three teams finishing with only small time differences. They received medals at the finish line and certificates later at school. The school looks forward to the next school marathon on April 11, 2027.
