The Löwenlauf Half Marathon takes place in Bad Zwesten, a spa town that connects its core with its four districts. The route starts in the spa park at the Kurhaus in Bad Zwesten, then proceeds through the districts of Niederurff and Oberurff before returning to the start point. This is where the 11 km run concludes and the first handover for team relays occurs. Participants will tackle approximately 350 meters of elevation gain. The course continues through the Wenzigerode district with a second handover, then descends to the Betzigerode district, and finally finishes back in the spa park in the core town. Various participation categories are available to encourage as many people as possible.
