The Ohana Mud Run is a one-mile family mud run in Morganton, North Carolina, at the Bennick Compound. It is a short outdoor obstacle race, packing 16 obstacles into a muddy, water-heavy loop with giant sprinklers, inflatables, and a lazy river. The event is listed as a mud run and typically occurs in late summer.
The Bennick Compound, a private 110-acre motocross property, provides the race's character. Runners navigate slick moto hills, mud bogs, and water sections rather than a flat path. Named obstacles include Tidal Wave, Swamp Thing, Everest, Tube Zone, Mud Slide, Train Wreck, The Great Wall of Ohana, Mudzilla, Ohana Joe Slide, and Ohana Fire Jump. Finishers receive shirts and medals. The event has sold out for five consecutive years, attracting families and groups seeking a playful mud day over a timed road race.
