O tomto preteku
The Kāpiti Half begins at McLean Park in Paraparaumu and concludes by the beach at MacLean Park, with Kāpiti Island visible throughout. This running festival takes place on New Zealand’s Kāpiti Coast, featuring a 21 km half marathon alongside 10 km, 5 km, and 2 km children's races. Participants can register on Saturday or race morning. Entry includes a bib, bag tag, timing chip, and either a finisher medal or a tree planted in the finisher’s name.
The course is flat and fast, incorporating river trails, lake loops, and boardwalk sections instead of a simple road out-and-back. Walkers, buggies, and wheelchair participants are welcome in all races, broadening the field beyond a typical club event. Awards and spot prizes are presented at MacLean Park. The Dark Horse Challenge introduces a team element: workplaces or family groups can enter any combination of distances, receive a registration discount, and vie for coffee as the largest team.
