Marsh Madness 2026

A free race on the dikes at Point Mouillee State Game Area, where the Huron River, Detroit River, and Lake Erie converge, offering views of Ontario and Ohio. You'll be running through one of the largest freshwater marsh restoration projects in the world, with chances to spot an eagle or a guy posing with a fish. The course is mostly gravel with some asphalt, and you'll navigate both day and a planned nighttime course. Ultra runners supply all their own aid and nutrition, and remember to pack it in, pack it out—there are no garbage cans or porta-potties. Marsh Madness offers no awards, just the beautiful scenery and the profound sense of accomplishment.
