2026 Cornwall Youth Triathlon

The Cornwall Youth Triathlon, held in downtown Cornwall, Ontario, features triathlon racing, a sprint duathlon, and a 5 km run. This late summer event offers younger racers and community participants a closed-course environment, distinct from typical road and traffic conditions. The Cornwall triathlon weekend has been held annually since 2004, with proceeds supporting BGC Cornwall/SDG. The swim takes place in a protected river section, monitored by Cornwall Fire water rescue, kayaks, canoes, and lifeguards. Competitors exit the water onto a rubber mat shore and proceed to transition via a short incline. The river temperature is typically 21-22 C, and wetsuits are permitted for all events. The cycling portion covers a closed 10 km loop within Cornwall's downtown area, extending east from transition to a turnaround point, keeping the race focused on the waterfront and city center.
