Over deze race
Ridge Runner Coromandel Trail Run is set on the privately owned White Star Station in Colville, on New Zealand’s Coromandel Peninsula. It is a backcountry trail event for runners and walkers, with two options: the 24km Ridge Run and a 12km distance. The event runs in November, starts in the morning, and gives participants seven hours to finish, so it can work for steady walkers as well as stronger trail runners.
The route uses rugged station land with native bush, steep climbs, and open ridgelines looking across the Coromandel. The organisers chose the property after being struck by its raw feel and wide views, and the race leans into that outdoor-weekend setting rather than treating the finish line as the end. Finishers receive a wooden medal and a post-run gourmet burger, entry includes a night of camping, and the afterparty adds live music, a bonfire, and marshmallows under the stars.
