Hahner Kitzenhauslauf Aachen-Hahn 2026

The Hahner Kitzenhauslauf is a family-oriented running event held at the Kitzenhausweg sports ground in Hahn, southern Aachen. Lauftreff Inde Hahn, the running club of FC Inde Hahn founded in 2003, organizes it in early summer. The event offers races for various age groups and abilities: Bambini run 300 meters, students run 1 km, the Small Kitz is 4.2 km, Kitz10 is 10 km, and the Big Kitz is a half marathon. The courses traverse natural, hilly terrain south of Aachen, featuring diverse paths and segments along the Eifelsteig. Most races, excluding the Bambini run and walking, are part of the Regio Aachen Laufcup, attracting local cup competitors alongside families and casual runners. Participants come from the Germany-Belgium-Netherlands tri-border region. The event's organization is local and club-driven, including music, food, and a substantial cake buffet. It has been recognized multiple times as the most beautiful event in the Rur-Eifel-Volkslauf Cup.
