Ultra Trail Bosques del Sur 2026

Ultra Trail Bosques del Sur is a 70 km mountain trail race held in Cazorla, a town in Jaén, southern Spain. The main ultra begins and ends in Cazorla, covering 3,702 meters of elevation gain, presenting a challenging mountain day rather than a simple forest run. The event is scheduled for May and includes shorter races: a 25 km Media Maratón with 1,588 meters of elevation gain, a 10K Mini Trail, and a Peque Trail for younger or less experienced runners. The routes traverse paths within the Sierras de Cazorla, Segura y las Villas Natural Park, a significant protected mountain region in Andalusia. The shorter mountain race also starts and finishes in Cazorla, with a five-hour time limit for its approximately 24 km distance and two aid stations. The Media Maratón has been a component of the Circuito Provincial de Carreras por Montaña de Jaén since its initial editions. The overall event is organized by the Ayuntamiento de Cazorla and is listed in National League and ITRA rankings.
