À propos de cette course
Ridgy-Didge is an annual trail running festival held at Hassans Walls Reserve, situated above Lithgow in New South Wales. The event takes place across the ridgelines of the Hassans Walls escarpment. It is a dirt-trail event offering seven distance options, including a kids' race, 5km, 10km, 22km, 30km, a marathon, and a 50km ultra.
The courses are entirely dirt and feature significant climbing. The marathon covers approximately 43km with a gain of about 1,845m, followed by a similar amount of descent to the finish. Blue Mountains Fitness established the race, inspired by local runners who had explored these ridges for years. The participant numbers have increased from just over 200 to more than 700. The event also provides camping, food, beverages, live entertainment, and interactive Google Maps displaying course positions, aid stations, and water stops.
