Sweet Cheeks - Summer Fun Run 5K 2026

The Sweet Cheeks Summer Fun Run 5K begins at Hyde Lake Pavilion on Great View Drive North in Memphis. The 5K starts in the morning, following race-day packet pickup. This family-friendly summer 5K benefits Sweet Cheeks Diaper Ministry, raising funds and awareness for poverty and diaper need in Shelby County and surrounding areas. The event evolved from the Sweet Cheeks 5K and now operates as the Summer Fun Run 5K. Participants may run, walk, or dance the course. Strollers are permitted, accommodating families alongside timed 5K runners. The 5K features chip timing, live results, post-race refreshments, finisher medals (while supplies last), and awards for top overall and age-group finishers. Children eight and under can participate in their own Summer Fun Run, which includes a shirt, race bib, games, face painting, and a kids’ zone. DJ Gibbs will provide music, and Pouncer will join the kids’ race. The organizing charity is the Mid-South's only independently run basic needs bank recognized by the National Diaper Bank, having distributed over 1.5 million diapers to families in need.
