Juneteenth 5K - Family Rooted in Tradition 2026

The Cen-Tex Juneteenth Freedom Run 5K begins at 7:30 a.m. CDT at 205 E Ave D in Killeen, Texas. This annual 5K, organized by the Innovation Black Chamber of Commerce, is open to runners and walkers. Its theme is Family Rooted in Tradition. The race is included in the Cen-Tex Race Series. Registration provides a finisher’s towel and a swag bag from community partners. The first 200 registrants will also get the official race T-shirt. The 5K course consists of two laps. Proceeds benefit the Juneteenth Relief Grant, offering financial aid to Black-owned businesses in Central Texas following review by a community selection committee. Following the run, attendees can remain for medal presentations and a Juneteenth Festival. The festival will feature local vendors, food trucks, family activities, games, live performances, community gatherings, and the presentation of grants funded by the race.
