Marathon I Sentieri dei Lupi 2026

Marathon I Sentieri dei Lupi is a mountain bike granfondo in Collarmele, a village in the province of L'Aquila in Abruzzo, Italy. Raced in September at about 835 meters above sea level, it is an XCP point-to-point event rather than a road sportive or short-lap MTB race. Riders can choose a long route of about 49 km with 1,386 meters of climbing, or a medium route of about 31 km with 750 meters of climbing. The course uses rough trails, forest sections, climbs, and descents around Collarmele, near the Sirente-Velino mountains. The race draws around 300 riders and sits inside several Italian MTB circuits, including the national Rampitek Rosso division, Abruzzo MTB Cup, and I Sentieri del Sole e dei Sapori. ASD Collarmele MTB organizes it, with TDS handling timing, and the event has reached its nineteenth edition. Its wolf theme is part of the race identity: riders are invited to “join the pack,” which fits a route built around woods, mountain terrain, and a hard day on the bike.
