Tot Dret - Run the Alps 2026

TUE, September 15, 2026 · Valle D'Aosta , Italy

Distances

130 km

About this race

Tot Dret is a 130-kilometer mountain ultramarathon in Italy’s Aosta Valley, running from Gressoney-Saint-Jean to Courmayeur each September. It is the shorter counterpart to the Tor des Géants, but the statistics remain demanding: approximately 12,000 meters of elevation gain, a 44-hour time limit, and only 500 entries. Essentially, it is a very long alpine trail race for runners seeking the Tor des Géants challenge without completing the entire loop. The course follows the final 130 kilometers of the Tor des Géants route, meaning runners tackle the concluding section of that larger event rather than a distinct path. They will pass beneath Monte Rosa, the Matterhorn, and Mont Blanc, three of the region’s prominent peaks. The 44-hour cut-off is significant because the race was initially so demanding that few participants finished within the allotted time. The participant field is limited for an event of this magnitude, maintaining its character as a serious mountain challenge rather than a large-scale public gathering.
