Rowbotham's Round Rotherham 2026

Rowbotham's Round Rotherham is a 50-mile (80 km) trail event that circumnavigates the entire Rotherham borough perimeter. It is one of the longest-running ultra events in northern England, first run in 1983. The route is varied, featuring canals, rivers, wetlands, ancient woodland, Roche Abbey ruins, and open rolling arable fields. Despite a modest total climb of around 800 m, the course is known for being challenging, particularly around mile 40. The event is run by volunteers and offers some of the lowest entry fees for a 50-mile event in the UK, welcoming all finishers.
