About this race

The Trail du Mont d'Or begins at the base of the ski slopes in Métabief, a mountain village in the Doubs department of Bourgogne-Franche-Comté. This mid-June trail running series takes place in the Jura mountains, offering race options from an 8 km run to a 60 km mountain trail. The shortest event, L'Infernale du Mont Ramey, involves a 270 m ascent. The 15 km Trail des Crêtes climbs 800 m, the 25 km Tour du Mont d'Or ascends 1,360 m, the marathon covers 1,900 m of climbing, and the 60 km race features 2,700 m of ascent. The routes follow Jura trails near Métabief, with some courses extending into neighboring Switzerland. One long-course route is just over 53 km with 2,535 m of climbing, descending to 869 m and reaching a high of 1,666 m. The event caters to various runners: adults can select longer races, juniors have shorter formats available, and children can participate in La Biscot'haut races over short distances. The setup creates a local mountain running gathering atmosphere, incorporating steep ascents, ski-area terrain, family races, and cross-border trails connected to the Mont d'Or region.
