About this race

Copenhagen Sprint is a one-day road cycling race on Zealand, with separate men’s and women’s editions and a finish in central Copenhagen. The men’s race starts in Roskilde and runs to Copenhagen over about 228 kilometers, while the women’s race covers about 156 kilometers. It joined the UCI World Tour from its first edition, bringing top professional teams to Denmark rather than serving as a local showcase race. Jordi Meeus won the first men’s edition and is the current listed men’s champion. The route usually begins at Stændertorvet in Roskilde, heads through North Zealand, and then enters Copenhagen by Vigerslev Allé. The men’s course adds Kronprinsesse Marys Bro in Frederikssund, a trip to Hornsherred, and loops around Hillerød and Humlebæk before the capital circuit. Riders reach the final circuit at Rådhuspladsen, pass the Faxe Kondi turn, and finish by the National Gallery of Denmark. The men ride five laps of the 10-kilometer city circuit, while the women ride three, and both races are built for a hard bunch sprint. Denmark also fields national teams in both races, giving selected pros and strong domestic continental riders a chance to race at World Tour level on home roads.
