37. Bergsee Triathlon 2026

Bergsee Triathlon is a two-day triathlon and quadrathlon event held at Bergsee Ratscher in Schleusingen, Thuringia, organized by Triathlon Club Suhl. The primary triathlon distances offered are a sprint (750 m swim, 20 km bike, 5 km run) and an Olympic or short distance (1.5 km swim, 40 km bike, 10 km run). The event caters to more than just experienced adults; it features Schüler races for children from early school ages through juniors, with distances adjusted for each age group. The race takes place at a lake in the Thuringian low mountain region, beginning with open-water swimming followed by cycling and running segments around Schleusingen and Bergsee Ratscher. A unique addition is the quadrathlon, which includes kayaking between the bike and run: 750 m swim, 20 km bike, 4.6 km kayak, and 5 km run, available in solo and relay options. Relay entries are also available for the sprint and short-distance triathlons, accommodating mixed teams, novices, age-group competitors, and families with children participating in shorter races.
