The London Cycle Festival & VIA Criterium 2026

The London Cycle Festival, a free multi-day event organized by the London Cycling Campaign, gathers riders and spectators in central London. It blends elite competition with community activities, attracting over 140,000 visitors to King’s Cross. The festival usually includes the Brompton World Championships, BMX demonstrations, and a kids zone alongside the racing. The VIA Criterium is the festival's primary race, taking place on a technical circuit through the historic King’s Cross Estate and Coal Drops Yard. Participants race on fixed-wheel bikes without gears or brakes, drawing elite riders from Europe and elsewhere. In a recent edition, 1,420 participants competed across all events, with 33 races covering more than 10,000km. Former track World Champion Ollie Wood set a new fastest lap record of 1’06”.
