Summer Sizzler- Colorado Springs 2026

The Summer Sizzler in Colorado Springs is a summer running event held at Norris Penrose. Participants can choose from a Kids Dash and an untimed 1 Mile, or chip-timed 5K, 10K, and 15K races. The event is designed for families and regular runners alike: children 10 and under have a dedicated short dash, younger runners in the 5K and 10K receive discounted pricing, and a virtual race option is available for those unable to attend in person. The in-person races commence early, with packet pickup preceding the morning events and the Kids Dash starting first. The 5K, 10K, and 15K races feature live results and awards. The 1 Mile race is untimed. Participants receive race merchandise including custom bibs, shirts, and finisher medals. The Kids Dash includes a mini bib and a youth-sized shirt. Post-race amenities include free participant photos, refreshments, and Kona Ice. Teams are eligible for refunds based on the number of friends or family members who register together.
