Dawlish Triathlon

The Dawlish Triathlon takes place in September at Dawlish Warren on the Devon coast, using the same seaside location for the start, transition, and finish. It is a sprint and supersprint triathlon suitable for mixed abilities, featuring a sea swim, followed by a road bike leg, and concluding with a run that incorporates a section of the coast path. The bike course consists of two or three laps on a relatively flat, sheltered circuit. The run now utilizes a footbridge approximately 300m west of transition, directing runners away from cyclists. Dawlish Warren beach has received excellent water quality ratings in recent seasons, and Teignmouth Beach Surf Life Saving Club ensures water safety. Participants receive medals, chip timing records transition splits, and age-group prizes are awarded during a podium presentation.
