OPERATION TROOP APPRECIATION VETERANS DAY 5K 2026

The Operation Troop Appreciation Veterans Day 5K is a 5K race held in November at Hampton Community Park in Allison Park, Pennsylvania. It is connected to Veterans Day and the efforts of Operation Troop Appreciation. Participants, including runners, walkers, and those with strollers, follow the same park course. The event also provides options for a virtual 5K and a Team Challenge for those preferring formats beyond the standard individual race. The race combines a competitive local 5K with a community fundraising effort. Trophies and awards are given to overall and Masters finishers. The top three in each age group are acknowledged, and the male and female winners across 13 age groups receive apple pies in addition to standard race awards. The event also features long-sleeve race shirts, choices for goody bags, entertainment along the course, a DJ from Life of the Party Productions, timing services from Miles of Smiles, door prizes, Penguin tickets for Team Challenge victors, and a post-race buffet.
