Om detta lopp
The Fishermanstrail Sommer Edition is a 58 km trail race encircling Plauer See in Mecklenburg-Vorpommern. It begins and ends at Fischerei Alt Schwerin. The race takes place in late September, commencing at 08:00 and concluding with a 16:00 deadline, granting participants eight hours to complete the circuit around the lake. With a limit of 80 runners, it offers the atmosphere of a local trail gathering rather than a large urban ultra.
The course largely mirrors the cycling loop around Plauer See, but diverts onto more challenging shore paths, forest tracks, and single trails for significant portions. Approximately one-quarter of the route consists of paved roads or paths. Beyond Lenz, it incorporates a lakeside section noted for being difficult for cyclists, then proceeds through Plau am See, the MediClin Reha-Zentrum, Karow, Samother See, Glashütte, and utilizes the north-shore path from CTS-Campingplatz back to the fishery. Aid stations are positioned at approximately 10, 22, 37, and 47 km. A briefing and pasta meal are provided the evening prior, breakfast is available on race morning, and all finishers are awarded a medal and certificate.
