Om detta lopp
The Kalkkögeltrail starts in Telfes, Austria, in the Stubai Valley, passing beneath the Kalkkögel mountains, known as the Dolomites of North Tyrol. This trail running event offers several distances: a 42 km marathon trail, a K30 for those training for marathon distance, an 18 km route, and a K10 for rookies and beginners. The K42 also hosts the Austrian State Championship in the Trail Marathon.
The marathon route circles Hoher Burgstall, one of the Stubai Seven Summits, with vistas towards the Saile and the Wilder Kaiser. The K18 is also a loop, beginning and ending in Telfes, providing a shorter option for newer trail runners within the same mountain scenery. SV Telfes organizes the event, which takes place in a valley with over thirty years of mountain running tradition, including the Schlickeralm Run and past World and European Mountain Running Championships. Children's races and a charity run are also part of the day's activities.
