Sobre esta prova
The Super Braxton Pediatric Cancer 5K is a 5K run/walk in Reynoldsburg, Ohio, held at Reynoldsburg High School’s Summit Campus on Summit Road. Participants can choose an in-person 5K or a virtual 5K. Race-morning registration is available, along with a free Kids Fun Run prior to the main event. The 5K uses chip timing. Organizers describe the route as forgiving yet accurate, suitable for runners aiming for a personal best and families walking together.
The event supports pediatric cancer causes, directing all net proceeds to that work. Over $65,000 has been donated to research. The race is named for Braxton Long, a child who passed away from cancer. The Reynoldsburg Lions Club hosts and organizes the event. The morning is designed for families as much as for runners: children 12 and under participate for free and get a medal, volunteer superheroes are present for the kids race, and characters from popular franchises add to the atmosphere. Chick-fil-A has sponsored post-race food in the past. Past results indicate a competitive local field from Central Ohio at the front of the race.
