SIUE Cougars Unleashed Homecoming Run & Pancake Breakfast

The SIUE Cougars Unleashed Homecoming Run & Pancake Breakfast is a campus homecoming race at Southern Illinois University Edwardsville, featuring a 10K, 5K, and Fun Run. This event is part of SIUE’s Homecoming & Family Weekend and also commemorates the Route 66 Centennial Celebration. Entry is open to alumni, students, faculty, staff, and local community members, with reduced pricing for SIUE alumni and students. The race is designed for the school’s homecoming participants, not exclusively for serious runners. The field may include competitive 10K runners, casual 5K participants, families, and individuals attending primarily for the breakfast. Proceeds benefit the SIUE Alumni Association Scholarship and Programs, which grant over $20,000 in scholarships annually. Following the run, participants receive a complimentary pancake breakfast. Adults aged 21 and older may enjoy a post-run beer, and dogs are permitted at the Cougars Unleashed event.
