Captain Gerald F. DeConto, USN Memorial Scholarship 5k Run/Walk 2026

This annual 5k Run & Walk supports the Captain Gerald F. DeConto Memorial Scholarship Fund. Captain DeConto, a Sandwich native, was killed during the 9/11 attack on the Pentagon. The event begins with a brief memorial tribute. This year, we also honor Patricia DeConto, his mother, who was the heart of this road race fundraiser for over two decades. The scenic route winds around the Sandwich Marina and beach area. We continue their legacy, helping others in their memory.
