Last Chance Half Marathon & 10 km

The Last Chance Half Marathon & 10 km takes place in November, starting at North Glenmore Park Community Centre in Calgary. Runners can choose between a half marathon or a 10 km race. Be There Races organizes this event as a final opportunity to run outdoors before winter conditions set in. The schedule includes an early start for half marathon participants before the main half marathon and 10 km races begin. Both races utilize the pathway system originating from the community centre, with the 10 km course looping back sooner. The route encircles Rockyview hospital and follows the reservoir. Organizers note the course is scenic yet challenging. Participants have access to the community centre for waiting before or after their race, with indoor washrooms and an upstairs area provided. Registration covers a shirt, finisher medal, lunch, snacks, and Annex beer. Awards are presented to the top three finishers in each 10-year age category for both men and women.
