The Phantom Run 2026

The Phantom Run begins at Lynn Canyon Park in North Vancouver, British Columbia, sending participants onto the North Shore trails during winter. It provides 12 km, 19.5 km, and 25 km distances, allowing runners to select anything from a brief trail excursion to a longer outing with significant elevation gain. The race maintains a relaxed atmosphere, yet the terrain demands focus: the course combines technical and non-technical sections, featuring steep ascents, descents, rolling hills, stairs, and some flatter segments described by one participant as quite fast. The course crosses the lower North Shore trail system near the Seymour River, with aid stations positioned along the route. The event supports the Harvest Project, and participants are encouraged to bring non-perishable packaged food for donation. An orientation session is held before race day, check-in occurs just prior to the start, and the finish line offers hot soup and other post-race refreshments.
