NIRCA Cross Country Open 6K

The NIRCA Cross Country Open 6K is a 6K cross-country race held annually at the Blue River Cross Country Course near Shelbyville, Indiana. It takes place the weekend before the National Intercollegiate Running Club Association National Championships, coinciding with the top collegiate club running event. The race is open to a wide range of participants: NIRCA alumni, local runners, high school athletes, parents, spectators, fans, and athletes ineligible for the championship race. The course is designed for cross-country running, not road racing. Spikes are permitted at each runner's discretion. The event proceeds regardless of weather conditions, and late and race-day registration is accepted at Blue River.
