TCS Lidingöloppet

TCS Lidingöloppet is a cross-country running event held on Lidingö, an island near Stockholm, on the final weekend of September annually. Established in 1965, it is the world’s largest terrain race, featuring a primary 30 km distance. The event also offers 15K, 5K, children’s races, and other shorter options, accommodating serious competitors, casual runners, and families. The course crosses Lidingö’s natural landscape, including forest paths, coastal routes, flat sections, and challenging hills, avoiding city streets. Participants range from elite athletes and club runners to first-time participants, children, and individuals focused on personal achievement. Lidingöloppet is part of the Swedish Classic Circuit, and its organizers and title sponsor support charitable causes, such as donations to Astrid Lindgren Children’s Hospital.
