Om dette løpet
The Alpin Team Trailrun Werfenweng, or ATT, takes place in September in Werfenweng, Austria, featuring steep routes in the Tennengebirge mountains. It is designed for alpine running, not flat speed: the 23 km race involves a 1,523-meter climb, and the long course covers approximately 50 km with over 3,600 meters of vertical gain. Some event listings also mention a 10 km option, offering a shorter route for beginners, while experienced mountain runners can pursue ITRA points on the more challenging courses.
The course guides runners through mountain terrain surrounding Werfenweng, where vertical gain is more significant than distance. The main race begins early in the morning. The event contributes financially to the local community, with all registration fees and event income donated directly to families in need. Organizers also emphasize environmental care for the local mountains, provide a free shuttle service between the festival area and the town center, and conclude the day with a post-race gathering at Cool Mountain in central Werfenweng.
