Vets Day 5K & 10K

The Vets Day 5K & 10K is a running event held at English Landing Park in Parkville, Missouri, on Veterans Day. Both the 5K and 10K races begin in the morning. The 5K course is within the park at 8701 McAfee Street. A virtual 5K option is also available, which includes shipping, a shirt, and a medal. Participants receive a custom finisher medal. A long-sleeve event shirt can be purchased as an add-on. The race honors Ed Burnham, a longtime local runner, World War II veteran, and VFW employee. A portion of the proceeds benefits the VFW Foundation, supporting troops abroad, military families, and veterans. Awards are presented to the top overall male and female finishers, masters runners (age 40+), and the top three finishers in each age group from 19 and under to 80 and over. Teams of four or more receive discounted entry. Packet pickup is at the Running Well Store in Kansas City North. Participants can opt-in for text message results.
