Castle 2 Castle 2026 - Velindre Fundraising

Castle 2 Castle is a 10.5-mile run on September 10, from Caerphilly to Cardiff in South Wales. Organized by Velindre Cancer Charity, it begins in Caerphilly and concludes at Cardiff Castle, connecting two major castle landmarks. The route features minor ascents near Caerphilly before proceeding to Cardiff. Water stations are positioned along the course, with refreshments and stalls available at the finish. Participants are required to raise a minimum of £50 in addition to the entry fee. The event benefits Velindre Cancer Centre, the Hospital of Hope, and supports cancer patients and their families in Wales. A recent running saw over 1,581 participants and generated approximately £150,000. Entrants received fundraising assistance, an event pack, a running number, a “Running For” bib, an official T-shirt, and a custom medal.
