The Marathon Bière Flandre Festival is a running event in French Flanders, centered on beer, local community, and three road races. The 21 km half marathon begins in Esquelbecq, with the marathon and 13 km race starting from Bergues later. All races conclude in Bergues, the Nord town known for the film Bienvenue chez les Ch’tis.
The finish area and bib pickup are at St Winoc Abbey, which also hosts the brewers’ village throughout the weekend. The beer village is open to all, positioning the event as a local festival with races rather than solely a running competition. The main race is the 42.195 km marathon, La Pinte, but the half marathon offers the same Bergues finish for those not running the full distance. Bergues' accessibility challenges on race day highlight how the town is integral to the event.
