Grimpée du Pays Rochois 2026

The Grimpée du Pays Rochois is a September mountain trail and walking event in Haute-Savoie. It starts in La Roche-sur-Foron and climbs to the Balme chalet. The main route covers 10.6 km with approximately 950 metres of ascent, making it a short race with significant uphill effort. This event has taken place for over 40 years, attracting runners, walkers, adults, and children, not exclusively competitive trail specialists. The course connects the town centre to the Balme alpine pasture, creating a continuous ascent from town streets towards the mountain. Walkers begin in the morning, followed by the trail race later. Refreshment stations, commemorative prizes, and a post-race meal are provided. Registration is exclusively online.
