The Race For The Birthplace 4 Miles is a four-mile road race held at David Crockett Birthplace State Park in Limestone, Tennessee, beginning on Davy Crockett Park Road. It takes place in November, commencing late in the morning, and is organized by the State of Franklin Track Club. The race is also part of the club’s King & Queen competition and the Tennessee Running Tour.
The park remains open on race day, though access is restricted. The finish is straightforward: all participants receive a medal at the finish line, and the top male and female finishers are awarded trophies there. Age-group awards are not presented. A donation jar for Friends of the Park is also available, with funds designated for restoration efforts at David Crockett Birthplace State Park.
