First Solar HEROES 5k

The First Solar HEROES 5k begins at 1 Tranquility Base, located at the US Space & Rocket Center in Huntsville, Alabama. Two 3.1-mile routes are available: a standard 5k run and a 5k ruck. Both events take place in the morning on a USATF-certified road course. This event marks its first edition, with all proceeds benefiting Still Serving Veterans, a local nonprofit supporting military communities. The ruck division requires fixed dry-weight loads: 30 pounds for men and 20 pounds for women. Participants must bring their own rucks for pre-race weigh-in. Parking is situated near the Davidson Center for Space Exploration, maintaining a close connection to the Space & Rocket Center campus.
