À propos de cette course

Ciclobrava by Orbea is a non-competitive road cycling event in Girona, held on the Sunday of the Sea Otter Europe festival. It is designed for road cyclists seeking a full day on pavement without racing, allowing participants to set their own pace and concentrate on the ascents, roads, and scenery. Girona serves as a fitting location for this type of event, as professionals use it for much of their training season because of its favorable cycling climate, tranquil, narrow roads, and mid-elevation courses situated between the Pyrenees and the Mediterranean. The series features three distances, all including significant climbing. The 150 km route presents the greatest challenge, with 1,756 meters of elevation gain and four climbs: Sant Grau d'Ardenya, Romanya, La Ganga, and Montjuic on the return to Girona. The 100 km route involves 1,000 meters of climbing, shares Romanya, La Ganga, and Montjuic with the longer route, and includes Madremanya. The 70 km route also gains 1,000 meters, crossing Santa Pellaia, Madremanya, and Montjuic. Romanya and La Ganga have been featured in La Volta stages, and one route passes through the Costa Brava, offering a coastal and hilly character distinct from a basic city circuit.
