Miles 4 Muscles 2026

Miles 4 Muscles takes place in San Antonio at Comanche Park, Pavilion #3, on Rigsby Avenue, starting at 8:30 a.m. Participants can choose between a 4-mile run/walk or a 1-mile walk. The event supports the ALS Association, focusing on physical activity and aid for those with ALS. The course uses the Salado Creek Greenway, offering a park-trail environment instead of city streets. Families are welcome, with reduced entry fees for children aged 4 to 10 accompanying a paying adult, and free entry for children 3 and under. The race originated from the passing of Greg Lamparter, the organizer’s stepfather, due to ALS; the “4” in the name signifies the four years he battled the illness. The event honors Greg, individuals diagnosed with ALS, their caregivers, spouses, nurses, and families impacted by the absence of a cure.
