Veterans Day Run 2026

Veterans Day Run events are community races held around Veterans Day, with formats for runners and walkers. The Morgan Hill event offers 5K and 10K walk/run options and a 1-mile children's run. The Kansas City-area Veterans Day 5K takes place at English Landing Park in Parkville, with 10K and virtual 5K options. The Connecticut race includes a ruck category, where participants carry weight in a backpack during a 3-mile effort. The races support veterans. Morgan Hill sends all proceeds to Operation Freedom Paws, which pairs service dogs with veterans and people with disabilities. Connecticut directs all proceeds to state veteran service organizations, asks ruck participants to carry non-perishable food for the Veterans Base Camp "Vittles for Veterans" program, and collects daily essentials for Backpacks for Life. The Parkville event offers custom finisher medals, awards for overall and age-group competitors, registration savings for teams of four or more, and sends part of its proceeds to the VFW Foundation, supporting troops abroad, military families, and veterans.
