About this race

The ASL-for-All 5K (Walk, Run & Roll) is an annual fundraiser in Olathe, Kansas. Its core concept is for Deaf and non-Deaf neighbors to share a race day using sign language. The primary event is a 5K suitable for walkers, runners, and those using wheels; ASL knowledge is not required to participate. Families are included with a 50-yard Tots Fun Run for ages 6 and under and a 100-yard Kids Fun Run for ages 7 to 10. The course has been held from the Kansas School for the Deaf through Johnson County Square Park and returning. Previous years utilized the Indian Creek Trail starting from Frontier Park. Following the 5K, the event transitions into an ASL Festival featuring community booths, live ASL activities, and performances integrated with the awards ceremony. Participants receive water and light refreshments. Packet pickup has been at the Museum of Deaf History, Arts & Culture on East Park Street in Olathe.
