Japan Sports Masters in Ishikawa is an annual rubber-ball baseball competition for athletes aged 40 and over. It takes place in early autumn as part of the Japan Sports Association’s multi-sport Masters program. Teams are selected through prefectural baseball federations, players must live or work in the same prefecture, and each team requires qualified coaching staff under the Japan Sports Association system. The tournament utilizes baseball grounds across Ishikawa, including venues in Hakusan, Shiga, Nonoichi, Kahoku, Nakanoto, Hodatsushimizu, Suzu, and Nanao. The field is planned for 32 teams, bringing together senior players from around Japan. Players already entered as managers or players in the same year’s National Sports Festival rubber-ball baseball competition are not eligible, maintaining this Masters event as a distinct championship for older competitors.
