The Valle dei Segni Wine Trail is an autumn trail-running series held in Italy’s Camonica Valley. It features three race distances, all concluding in Darfo Boario Terme. The primary event is a 55 km mountain trail covering 2,500 m of elevation gain. It is complemented by an 18 km Wine Half Trail with 950 m of climbing and a 10 km Lago Moro Short Trail that includes 300 m of ascent. The series welcomes serious athletes, regular runners, and families, and includes a separate children’s race on a city circuit for kindergarten and primary-school age children.
The courses traverse Camun villages, vineyard rows, stone terraces, wineries, and cultural sites, deviating from a singular mountain path. Participants will pass UNESCO-listed rock-art parks and local landmarks including the Pieve di San Siro, Breno Castle, the Annunciation of Piancogno, and Lake Moro park. The race was established to introduce participants to the valley’s history, landscape, wine regions, and local customs through sport. The 55 km race has developed its own narrative, marked by Diego Angella’s multiple victories.
