19th Lagoon Road Race of Aitoliko - 10K 2026

The Lagoon Road Race of Aitoliko is a 10K run starting and finishing at the western bridge by Eastern Beach. It takes place in September in Aitoliko, Aetolia-Acarnania, drawing about 500 athletes, not a massive city-race field. The route is a standard 10K, with water stations at 3.5 km and 7 km. The Athletic and Cultural Association of Aitoliko Runners organizes the event. All finishers receive medals, and trophies are awarded to the top three overall and category winners in the 18-34, 35-49, 50-64, and 65+ age groups. This is the race's 19th edition. It coincides with Aitoliko’s local Fish Festival, integrating the run into a broader town event rather than having it as a standalone sports competition.
