About this race
Triathlon Weiden is a city triathlon in Upper Palatinate, Bavaria, with racing centered around Weiden i.d. OPf. and Altenstadt an der Waldnaab. It is scheduled for early May and offers adults several short-format options: a supersprint, a sprint, a sprint relay, and a longer short-distance race.
The supersprint is 230 m of swimming, 9 km on the bike, and 2.5 km of running, while the sprint roughly doubles that to about 400-450 m swimming, 18-19 km cycling, and 4.5 km running. The longer race is around 1.2-1.4 km in the water, 36-38 km of road cycling, and 9 km of running. Relays, age-group fields, children's races, and junior races make it more of a local club-and-community triathlon than an elite-only event. TEAM OBERPFALZ e.V. organizes the race.
