VALMEZ DEZA RUN 2026

VALMEZ DEZA RUN is a road running event in Valašské Meziříčí, using the town square and the Bečva cycle path. It accommodates a wide range of participants: toddlers begin with 200-meter races, older children progress through 300 meters, 750 meters, 1.5 kilometers, and 4 kilometers, and adults compete up to 8 kilometers. The event caters to both hobby and experienced runners, with distinct scoring for men and women and age categories spanning from the youngest children to seniors. Timing is managed by chip, registration is online, and refreshment stations are positioned along the course. The youngest children complete short loops directly on the square, while older children and adults proceed from the center toward the Rožnovská Bečva, utilizing the riverside cycle path. The race is organized by the City of Valašské Meziříčí, TJ Valašské Meziříčí, and SVČ Domeček, giving it the atmosphere of a local sports day rather than an exclusive club event. Over 400 runners have registered across all age groups. Families also participate: in addition to the races, DEZA firefighters displayed equipment, and a fire truck platform offered elevated views of the town square.
