Maraton Česká Lípa starts with a ceremonial group roll-out from Dubice, with the main race beginning in Zahrádky and concluding in Bořetín. This late-September mass-start road cycling event in northern Bohemia offers 72 km and 56 km distances, not a running marathon. The race is part of the Česká Lípa Road Cup, the North Bohemian Amateur League, and the Union of Amateur Cyclists. The 56 km race also qualifies for the ČPP Masters Extraliga.
The course connects Česká Lípa, Zahrádky, Kravaře, Blíževedly, Tuhaň, Sukorady, Robeč, Rašovice, Skalka, Valteřice, Jezvé, and Bořetín. The 72 km participants complete the Skalka-Tuhaň-Sukorady-Robeč-Rašovice loop twice. SAL and UAC members compete alongside non-members, with distinct categories for younger riders, women, masters, and older age groups. Children’s races are held on a short, flat course near registration. This race honors Josef Vlasák; helmets are required, normal traffic rules apply, and all participants receive a small award.
