Run for Honor

The Gold Star Run for Honor takes place on Memorial Day weekend in Saugus, Massachusetts. It features a 10K for adults and a Kids Fun Run for children 10 and under. The 10K begins on the street between Town Hall and the Saugus Public Library, attracting local club runners, race regulars, and those reuniting with friends as summer begins. The 10K course includes late hills that returning participants recognize can be challenging if the pace is too fast early on. The kids run a quarter-mile loop around the Saugus rotary, passing Town Hall before finishing under the same banner as the adults. Post-race, cold water, snacks, and hot dogs are provided; for some, the hot dog marks the first of the season.
